Troop 591 started providing a safe place for boys to grow into men in 1971.<\/h2>\n

Boy Led<\/h2>\n

We are truly a boy-led troop. What this means is that youth leaders make the decisions about what activities the Scouts will undertake each month, and run each meeting and outing from start-to-finish. The Scoutmasters provide guidance (when needed) along the way, but the boys are in charge.<\/h4>\n

Outings<\/h2>\n

We strive to have about two outings per month \u2014 at least one of those is an overnight camping trip. Our Scouts enjoy car camping, moderately challenging backpacking, bicycle trips, snow adventures, and day trips. You can see our current annual calendar by clicking the file link at the bottom of this page.<\/h4>\n

Summer Camp<\/h2>\n

Our troop spends a week every summer at one of the wonderful BSA camps in the Pacific Northwest.<\/h4>\n
