Troop 591 has planned our Christmas tree recycle event for January 3, 2026!   Do check back for any possible change in dates due to inclement weather. 

Due to the changes in the Christmas tree market in this area (fewer people using live trees, much larger area to cover as fewer Troops choose to serve the community in this way), we have some changes to our project this year.

We have two options to environmentally recycle your Christmas tree:

Pick-Up pre-registered trees

With a large area to cover and limited time, we can pick up only pre-registered trees beginning at 9:00am on Saturday morning (January 3, 2026).  Please schedule your tree pickup by 6pm the night before (January 2, 2026).  We should be done making our rounds by 1:00pm, but since we don’t know when we will get to your street, it is important that you place the tree on the curb (or other area you designate) outside your house by 9:00am.     You can schedule your tree pickup by using the schedule/donation button to the upper right.  You can donate by zelle or you can still attach a donation to your tree (cash or check).

Drop Off option

Our Scouts will still be happy to accept trees dropped off at Faith Lutheran Church parking lot between 9:00am and 2:00pm on Saturday, January 2nd.   The address for Faith Lutheran is:  9041 166th Ave NE, Redmond.  Please note that the entrance to the church parking lot is off of NE 91st Street.   This is the only drop-off location for trees for our service area.   Please see the [link]  for our service areas.   If you are not in our service area, please contact us, we may be able to direct you to a Troop in your area or make other arrangements.

Donation Suggestion

Most families donate about $30 for us to pick up and recycle their tree.  If you can share more, it would be greatly appreciated.
